Unlike traditional tour guides who follow fixed itineraries and often have commercial relationships with stores and restaurants, Navigo companions provide authentic, personalized experiences. They help you navigate everyday situations like bargaining at markets, finding hidden local eateries, and understanding cultural nuances. Our companions are primarily students and young professionals who are passionate about sharing their culture and creating genuine connections. They're trained to help you experience India as a local would—whether that's attending a family celebration, visiting non-touristy neighborhoods, or simply helping you navigate transportation and communication challenges authentically.
We understand travel plans can change. Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled meeting time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 4-48 hours receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 4 hours in advance are non-refundable, but we do offer one free rescheduling within the next 30 days.
Safety is our top priority. We thoroughly vet all local companions through background checks, verify their identities, and collect reviews from past travelers. Our platform also features real-time location sharing, emergency assistance, and a 24/7 support team dedicated to resolving any issues immediately.
We use an intelligent matching algorithm that considers your travel preferences, interests, language needs, and safety requirements. After you share your trip details and preferences, our system presents you with 3-5 potential companions who perfectly match your needs. You can browse their profiles, reviews, and expertise before making your choice. Once connected, you can chat directly to plan your experiences together. Unlike conventional tour guides, our companions are carefully chosen for compatibility with your specific travel style and interests, creating more authentic and personalized experiences.
Currently, Navigo operates in eight major Indian destinations: Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Goa, Udaipur, and Bangalore, with limited service inAmritsar. We're rapidly expanding to new cities based on traveler demand. If your destination isn't currently covered, you can submit a request through our "Request Location" page, and we'll notify you as soon as we launch in your desired city. For travelers exploring multiple cities, we can arrange different companions in each location who coordinate with each other to ensure a seamless experience throughout your journey.
